Safari Bus Taxis

The hills of St. John are best traversed by open air taxi especially when moving large groups to and from beach and villa locations. We even recommend safari buses when your event is at a restaurant as parking on this small but elegant island is extremely limited. The taxi union is a serious knit group of long acquired licenses and expensive operating medallions. The industry is well monitored and in general quite reliable though through our years of experience we have come to endorse only the best.

Our driver's know most private villas on the island and are informed of your event needs long before your arrival, having been given detailed directions and specific pickup outlines. They have time to prepare and plan out alternative routes should there be a conflict and have negotiated some of the best rates on island with KatiLady Events. We have been booking taxi services with our driver's for over 20 years and are confident we can get the best rates available.

No job is too small or too large. We have moved over 100 guests three times in one day with central drop off and pickup locations from town to beach to villa and back to town for late night dancing and rental car pickups. We have arranged transportation for eloping couples who prefer the quiet and less inhabited venues, where our driver's wait obscured by the tree line so as not to intrude.

Be aware that last minute taxi bookings will result in added cost. Take time with your planner to organize your transportation needs prior to arriving on island so you and your guests will have adequate time and space to arrive comfortably and in a relaxed manor. We are also able to help book private rental cars and jeeps. Your wedding planner has a list of reputable agencies and will be happy to provide them.

Private Car or Limo

If air-conditioning is what you require to and from your photo venues then we can arrange to have a private car take you, your husband and photographer to various spots on island. Should you prefer to have multiple private cars please be sure to speak to your planner long in advance so arrangements can be made. We are more than happy to book any service required and have a list of reliable drivers on hand. Rates for private cars vary based on time of day, hours required and number of vehicles/drivers. Your planner can negotiate the best rates once she has an idea of your needs.
