"Hi Shea,
I wanted to thank you for the wonderful wedding cake you delivered to Blue Heaven Rendevous on December 1st. I called you at the last minute and you were kind enough to deliver the surprise cake while we were at our ceremony. My husband (new) was so excited when he saw the cake. And he was so impressed that I arranged for the cake without him knowing about it (little did he know it would not have happened if you hadn't helped me out!).
The cake decorated with shells was delicious and was perfect for the occasion since we had just gotten married on the beach. I brought what was left back to Atlanta and froze it to have on our anniversary."
Many thanks!!!!! Shelly Charles

Icings Swiss Meringue Buttercream is the classic “pastry” buttercream
uses no confectioners’ sugar or shortening. It consists of nothing
but fresh egg whites, butter, sugar and pure vanilla.
Original Buttercream is a light, creamy frosting made with softened
butter, confectioners' sugar and light cream. It can be flavored in many
ways and is used both as a filling and frosting for a variety of cakes
and pastries.
Fondant is a beautiful rolled frosting with the consistency of a tootsie
roll. It has a smooth satin finish and is especially resilient to the
tropical heat. It is made of sugar syrup and glucose, which is cooked
to a specific temperature and then kneaded to a smooth, soft paste. This
paste can then be colored or flavored and used as an icing for cakes
and petit fours.

Grooms Cake Having its roots in Southern Tradition, the Groom's Cake has been around for quite some time
and is making a fashionalble comeback on the wedding scene. Traditionally, a Groom's cake was sliced and boxed for the
unmarried girls attending the wedding to take home and place under their pillows in hope that the man they dreamed of would
be their future husband. Groom's Cake has come along way since then. Today the cake is meant to be a reflection of the Groom's
interests, whether it be one of his hobbies, favorite sport, alma mater, profession, etc...
It's a personal choice when to serve the cake - either at the rehearsal dinner, as an alternate dessert with the wedding cake,
or as a late night dessert for the wedding party. Just because primarily Groom Cakes tend to be a fruit cake or a chocolate
cake shouldn't dictate what the bride and groom should have. Obviously being named "Groom's Cake" it should be a flavor and
theme that the groom enjoys.
